LURKING and TATTOOING

I recently had the pleasure of hanging out at my friends distributon in Vancouver, check out http://www.timebombtrading.blogspot.com/ for more info on what they are all about. I was there to do an Interview for kingshit magazine and also do a little tattooing, they set me up with a nice cozy spot and I tattooed some of the staff members. NEW ART SHOW

The lovely gents at the Elephant room design and photography office are having a grand opening in December. I will be showing upwards of 40 new pieces of art at the show, very stoked I think this will be the best show yet.

SUMMER RECAP

Miss Spears loves LURK

Well, she loves my custom shoes at least. Here are the shoes that I hand painted for non-other than Britney Spears just before I sent them off to her. I was told that I would be getting full photo credit in whichever magazine she's wearing them in. Fingers crossed. LURK hooking up the stars.

The Crew

STILL LIFE collective includes: Tyler Simpson, Kevin Rockwell and myself. We are going to try and do group shows from now on, but solo ventures will not be abandoned. We sat around doing a little brain storming and came up with a themed idea for the next show: Birds it is. So, we are working on pieces right now which all have to feature bird motifs, whether large or small. Keep your eyes open, Lurks coming and this time he's got wings.

New Lurking

I'm really into the idea of doing live paintings, or going places just to do lurkers inside of shops and such. I've been working on paintings, but tattooing is so busy that it's hard to keep up. Will post some pics next week.

It's been awhile.

So as it goes, I get really busy and find it hard to update the site. Sorry, Lurk fans. Lots has been happening in the world of LURK. First up, I have a show coming up in Victoria, BC, on June 1st. At the art show I will be releasing LURK clothing; just a few pieces to start with very limited edition numbers. I will have both mens and womens clothing. New clock art

So, here is the clock I'm doing for the useless wooden toys show (see below). So stoked on this event. In the next couple of months the clocks, from all the various artists involved, will be up for the bidding wars of ebay. All money raised goes to the "Skate for Cancer" foundation. I highly recomend you also check out Furni creations - find them in google. Furni makes amazing designer decor, clocks etc. All their gadgets are named after pro skateboarders from, lets just say "the golden years". This clock is the Mullen.

DNA LIVE PAINTING

Well, the live painting show at DNA went well; unfortunately, I had a little too much liquid courage before I got there and couldn't complete the painting. I sold a bunch of little ones though, which was cool. Thanks too all. The night got messy after that some laughs were had and some tears were shed. Sorry if I upset you that night I was a wasted bum hole spewing turd out to the masses. My bad. No pics from the night but thats probablly for the best!
